CSK have a cumulative number of over 43 million followers across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and X (formerly Twittier). Other five-time champions Mumbai Indians get the second spot in the list as they have cumulatively over 39 million followers across platforms.

Despite not winning a single trophy, Royal Challengers Bengaluru are just behind CSK and MI in terms of most number of followers by an IPL team on social media. The Kannada-based franchise has over 36.9 million followers across Instagram, X and Facebook.
