The two-and-a-half month long Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 finally concluded with a cracker of a game at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Rajat Patidar-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings by six runs to claim their maiden title. Moreover, with this, the premier T20 franchise tournament saw a new title winner emerge after three years, last being the Gujarat Titans, who claimed the title in their debut season in IPL 2022.
While we must have a new winner, there were several individual as well as team accolades which were awarded. Among many was the Fair Play Award, which is given to the team that best upholds the spirit of the game, based on points awarded by the umpires after each match.
Chennai Super Kings wins Fair Play Award for record seventh time in IPL history
Five-time champions of the tournament, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have been the standout performer when it comes to the fair play. While they have won the award it on six occasions in the past, this year, they went onto to claim it for the record seventh time, having previously won in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015 editions.
