In Match 33 of Indian Premier League 2022, the all-rounder Hrithik Shokeen made his debut for Mumbai Indians against Chennai Super Kings. Shokeen, is a right-arm off-spinner and useful batter in the middle order. He was picked up by the franchise for INR 20 Lakh in IPL 2022 mega-auctions.
Shokeen marked his presence in the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Bangladesh, which was his List-A debut as well. In the tournament, he scalped a total of eight wickets in eight matches. In the next series, he emerged as the leading wicket-taker with 10 dismissals in the 2 first-class fixtures of the South Africa tour, while playing for the Indian U19 team in the same year.
The off-spinner has not been able to feature for the Delhi state in any of the domestic tournaments. However, he was one of the members of the Ranji Trophy 2022 squad and rubbed the shoulders with the likes of Ishant Sharma, Nitish Rana, and Navdeep Saini.
Shokeen finished with the figures of 0/23 off four overs and helped to put the brake on the opposition team. However, CSK secured the victory by chasing down the target of 156 runs.
