The Indian para-athlete, Mark Dharmai, who hails from a small village in Mumbai has been under the scanners for his recent achievement. Mark is known to have an inspiring journey, came into limelight after his participation in the 2004 Paralympic Games.
The Bandra resident who began his inspiring journey at the 2004 Paralympics, secured a bronze in the 400m race, marking his inception as an athlete. He further went onto achieve numerous milestones, with the latest being a gold medal finish at the World Dwarf Games. Notably, with this gold medal win, Dharmai became the first Indian para-athlete to win gold at the World Dwarf Games, held in Germany.
Post his win, he is back in the news after being handed a life-time membership at the Bandra Gymkhana.
