Who is Ravin Jain? - Indian-origin Ferrari F1 Team’s new Head of Strategy

The 26-year-old took the charge on Day 1 of pre-season testing on Thursday.

The F1 2023 season is a week away from the start. However, ten teams have already announced and revealed their new liveries, there are some big changes also taking place in a few teams till date. One of them was recently announced in Ferrari. The Prancing Horse’s long-serving race strategy engineer Ravin Jain has now taken over as their new Head of Strategy.

The news was confirmed on Thursday (23 February) ahead of the start of Day 1 of testing when sources close to Ferrari opened on this massive change in roles. With this move of Ravin Jain as the Head of Strategy, Spaniard Inaki Rueda will take on a factory-based sporting role with no input on strategy now.

It is to be noted that the 26-year-old joined Scuderia Ferrari in 2017 and has since then rose to the post if Race Strategy Engineer. Talking about his past qualifications, Jain has a degree in physics and completed his Masters with honours in Mathematical and Theoretical physics from University of Oxford. The Indian origin Jain has also interned at Caterham and Williams.
