Aston Martin are currently placed at the third position in the F1 2023 standings just below Red Bull and Mercedes. But, as per several reports, the British company may face legal actions if they overtake Red Bull in the rankings. This comes because the team has significantly improved after Dan Fallows and Eric Blandin were hired.

Previously, Adrian Newey oversaw Blandin and Fallows' work in Red Bull's aerodynamics division. Helmut Marko was displeased with their departure to Aston Martin in 2022 and has accused them of stealing Red Bull's ideas in their new colours.

The reigning F1 champions Red Bull reportedly experienced a hack in March 2022 and sensitive information about their F1 car was exposed in substantial amounts. The Aston Martin AMR22 was spotted driving the Spanish GP with side pods resembling those on the RB18. As per several reports, Dan Fallows and Eric Blandin upgraded the RB18 to make the AMR23 look different. Red Bull has not yet filed a lawsuit because the vehicle is still nearly a second slower than the RB19.

However, at this time, Max Verstappen and Red Bull's title challenge does not appear to be threatened by Aston Martin but the UK-based F1 team is likely to closely monitor the progress of the Silverstone-based outfit. Red Bull will undoubtedly file a lawsuit against the offenders if there is another data breach. Aston Martin has engaged in plagiarism before too, slyly mimicking the Mercedes W10, known as the "Pink Mercedes" during the 2020 season.
