The IPL 2023 fixture between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals saw a bizarre incident as David Warner was called back after he was dismissed by Murgan Ashwin. The incident took place in the 17th over of the second innings when Warner mistimed a shot which landed straight into Yashasvi Jaiswal's hands.

As the DC captain was walking back to the dressing room, the umpires opted to check if RR had the required number of fielders inside the circle or not. This check revealed that Jaiswal should have been inside the circle for this ball. As he was outside the 30 yards, the delivery was deemed to be a no-ball.

But this lifeline didn't allow Warner to make a bigger impact on the game as he got out after the next over at the score of 65 in 55 balls. This knock included seven fours as he struggled to increase the scoring rate while chasing 200.

Reacting to this performance and the team's third straight loss,  Warner was disappointed and expressed that the game just didn't go according to plan. He said,  "When you are chasing 200, you need to start well. Can't take the credit away from Trent Boult. He was really good. It is just about executing your skills. We had a couple of chop ons last evening.

"We are professionals. We need to work it out. It is frustrating to hit to the fielders. One of our strike bowlers went down as well. Just didn't go to plan," he further continued.
