The Titans’ skipper, Hardik Pandya, isn’t playing today, and Rashid Khan has taken over the captaincy role for today. Gujarat, who have won the toss, have chosen to bat first.

Addressing Hardik Pandya's absence, Rashid said, “We would like to bat first, looks like a fresh wicket. Just unwell slightly, don't want to take risks with him. As a team, we will try to play good cricket. Just one change, Vijay Shankar is in for Hardik."
