In match number 35 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, the Gujarat Titans (GT) are hosting the table-toppers, Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, April 19. However, both teams are coming off contrasting results in their last matches, DC will continue to register another win and dominate the points table with 12 points in their bag.
As the two skippers walked out for the toss, it was the hosts, GT skipper, Shubman Gill, who won the toss and elected to bowl first. “We will bowl first. It is very hot. The wicket looks very good. If you won't keep much grass, it would crack up,” Gill said. When enquired of his team combination for the afternoon clash, Gill confirmed to field the same XI as their previous match.

However, the Gujarat-based franchise are without their key pacer in Kagiso Rabada, who has returned hom due to personal emergency, Gill also said that he is likely to be back in ten days’ time. On the other hand, Axar Patel, the DC skipper was also asked of his team combination for the match to which he replied, that out-of-form, Jake Fraser-McGurk will sit out. However, the reason behind this move is not known, but he has been named in the impact substitutes list, alongside the likes of Darshan Nalkande, Sameer Rizvi, Donovan Ferreira and Dushmantha Chameera.
