Why no Ashwin?: Twitter left disappointed after veteran spinner's exclusion from India’s XI for fifth Test

Ben Stokes-led England won the toss and opted to field first in the rescheduled fifth Test against India.

The rescheduled fifth Test between England and India is finally underway at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Jasprit Bumrah became only the second Indian pacer after Kapil Dev to lead the side in a Test match. Meanwhile, it was England who won the toss and opted to field first.

To everyone’s surprise, Ravichandran Ashwin's name was not on the team sheet. Twitter vent out their frustration and called out the management for excluding the veteran spinner.

Talking about the match, India started their batting with Shubman Gill opening alongside Cheteshwar Pujara. After playing few delightful shots, Gill departed off Anderson's delivery.
