The T20 World Cup 2024 is days away from kicking off in the USA and West Indies as it looks to promote cricket on a global stage. The previous edition of the tournament saw England win their second T20 World title after beating Pakistan in Australia. But for the ninth edition of the tournament, ICC is set to introduce several significant changes that will distinguish it from previous editions.
Why T20 World Cup 2024 will be different from previous editions?
Venue and Host Nations:
The T20 World Cup will be played in the United States for the first time. This will also be the first ICC World Cup to be hosted by the USA alongside the West Indies. Though the Windies hosted the 2010 edition of the tournament where England lifted their maiden World Cup. In the 2024 T20 World Cup, USA will host 16 matches to be held in Lauderhill, Dallas and New York.
