The third and final ODI of the three-match series between West Indies and India will be played at the Brian Lara Stadium. West Indies captain Shai Hope led the way with the bat to help the hosts level the series 1-1 with deciding ODI to play. He was ably supported by Keacy Carty in stitching a 91-run unbeaten partnership. In the bowling department, West Indies have found a gem in Gudakesh Motie, the left-arm orthodox spinner, who was complimented quite well at Bridgetown, Barbados, by the likes of Romario Shepherd and Jaydon Seales with the ball.
Meanwhile, the decision from the team management to rest their captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, didn’t help the cause one bit for India in the second ODI. Apart from Ishan Kishan, no other batter in the team scored enough runs to put together a substantial total on the board. The bowlers from Team India, including the likes of Kuldeep Yadav and Shardul Thakur have been exceptional with the ball in the series, but they didn’t have many runs to defend in the previous match.
