Recently, Krafton had announced the Indian version of PUBG Mobile which has been rebranded as Battlegrounds Mobile India. In addition to this announcement, they even introduced a brand new logo for the new official website. Not much later, Ghatak, a professional Indian PUBG Mobile Player, who plays for Team SoloMid, posted a video about access to data from old accounts.

Don’t worry about old data, assures Ghatak

Ever since the announcement, the big question in the minds and hearts of PUBG fans in India was will they get the old data and achievements from the old global account. A report last year had mentioned that the data can be migrated from the global to India version. It claimed that the last date of data migration is 1 June 2021.

However, Ghatak has now provided clarification regarding the same. "Let’s come to the main point regarding your game account. Don’t worry about that. All the investments made by you will be returned to you in full," he wrote on his Instagram story.

This is huge news coming for all gamers, who had invested money in skins and in-game royale pass. Notably, several players had invested huge sums of money in the game to obtain rare skins and many more outfits.

Ghatak answers fan question in video

Ghatak later released a video to address the same question at length.

"One of the most asked questions was about the old accounts and what would happen to the inventory and other items. There is good news for them as all the investments players had made in the game will be retained in Battlegrounds Mobile India account as it is. So, chill and enjoy," he says in the video.
