Mumbai Indians are all set to host Kolkata Knight Riders in what is match number 22 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). The five-time champions will enter this match after registering a win over Delhi Capitals on April 11. However, the IPL champions won the match, they were short of experienced players like Jofra Archer, who missed with a niggle.
Now it will be seen if he will play a part in MI’s next match, which is today (April 16) at the Wankhede Stadium. Ahead of this match, Tim David, who played a crucial role n MI’s win against DC hinted on Archer’s availability. David revealed that the England pacer is under medical supervision and his availability cannot be confirmed.
“At the moment Jof is being managed by the medical team and I am not a part of those conversations. Whenever they have him ready to play he will be ready to go,” Tim David was quoted by India Today.
It is to be noted that Archer sustained an injury during MI’s opening game against RCB at the M Chinnnaswamy Stadium. The pacer was signed by the franchise at the auction in December 2022 for INR 8 Crore. After failing to regain full fitness, Archer went on to miss the franchise next two games, which came against CSK and DC.
