In the first round of the Wimbledon men’s doubles event, the Indian pairing of Saketh Myneni and Yuki Bhambri lost to Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Adrian Mannarino at the SW19. After turning up on Court 17, these two tennis players were valiant right throughout their pulsating encounter, but eventually, they lost out to the Spanish-French duo by a margin of 4-6, 6-4, 4-6.

During the highly competitive first set, Myneni and Bhambri were leveled on terms with their opponents, but in the tenth and final game, their serve was broken, which led to the end of this set with a margin of 6-4 in favour of Davidovich Fokina and Mannarino.

Early on in the second set at Court 17, the service of the Spanish-French pair was in real jeopardy, but they managed to stay on level terms with their Indian opponents. Saketh Myneni and Yuki Bhambri controlled the pace of the play right throughout this set, getting the break of serve in the ninth game before clinching it by 6-4.

In the final set of this incredible first-round men’s doubles match at Wimbledon 2023, both teams got their serve broken once. It led to the Indian pairing serving to stay in the match at 4-5 down, which they couldn’t manage to do. With that, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Adrian Mannarino were able to achieve victory while moving into the second round of the men’s doubles at Wimbledon.

Meanwhile, the Indian tennis star Rohan Bopanna, who partnered with Gabriela Dabrowski of Canada in the mixed doubles, went down to the Croatian-Taiwanese pairing of Ivan Dodig and Latisha Chan, the former champions at SW19, by a margin of 7-6, 3-6, 4-6.
