An Indian cricket fan girl made a weird request to Zomato-owned Blinkit during one of the recent matches of Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2024. The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League is going on in India in full swing, and just a few matches down the line, the tournament has caught several fans making weird requests and gaining social media limelight. One such incident took place during Gujarat Titans’ season opener against Mumbai Indians, which involved the food and delivery platform Blinkit.
During the match, a Shubman Gill fan girl Aayushi went to watch the Titans’ game and posed in front of the Narendra Modi Stadium. Aayushi had a poster in her hand, where she requested Blinkit to deliver Shubman Gill to her doorstep. The poster read, “Blinkit, please deliver Shubman Gill to my address.”
The post went viral and BlinkIt responded to her request by saying, “Ek captain toh waisei MI chale gaye…dusra aap maang rahe ho.” The delivery app commented about Hardik Pandya’s trade to Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. Pandya, who led GT to their two back-to-finals since inception, replaced Rohit Sharma as Mumbai Indians’ captain for the 17th edition of the tournament.
There is no denying that Shubman Gill is India’s one of the most promising young talents. The 24-year-old enjoys a huge fan base and is quite popular among female cricket enthusiasts. The 2022 champions have played two games so far in the Indian Premier League and won one match.
