Sri Lanka have buried their horrors from Asia Cup 2022 as the Chamari Athapaththu-led team has won both their group-stage games at the marquee event. Sri Lanka teed off hosts South Africa in their opening fixture to start things on a high. The Asian nation then cruised past Bangladesh in their second game to make it two in two. However, they now have to face mighty Australians who too have won two in two. The Meg Lanning-led team has defeated Bangladesh and New Zealand in their two games so far. It is expected to be a great contest with both teams having momentum.

1. Toss Prediction
Both captains have been unlucky in terms of winning the toss. Neither Chamari Athapaththu nor Meg Lanning has won the toss in their respective two matches so far. Nevertheless, Sri Lanka are expected to win the toss as Athapaththu won both tosses in the warm-up games.
2. Win Possibility
Although Sri Lanka have momentum and have produced unexpected results so far in the tournament, beating Australia will be a hefty task for the Lankans. The Meg Lanning-led team has been in exceptional form as they thrashed trans-Tasman rivals New Zealand by 97 runs in their opening fixture. In their second match, Australia beat Bangladesh by 8 wickets. So, the defending champions are expected to win the match on Thursday.
3. Powerplay Score and Average First inning score
The pitch at St. George’s Park is not so suited for batting. Spinners get assistance from the surface and hence the batters find it tough to hit through the line. The powerplay score is expected to be around 30-35 while the first-inning score is expected to be around 130.
