After English fast bowler Lauren Bell withdrew from the Women's Premier League 2024 on Friday, England captain Heather Knight has pulled out of the upcoming season of the TATA Women’s Premier League 2024. The Royal Challengers Bangalore have named Nadine de Klerk as her replacement.
The WPL franchise, UP Warriorz named Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu a replacement for Bell on Friday and recently, the Royal Challengers Bangalore announced Nadine de Klerk as a replacement for Knight. The South African all-rounder, who bowls medium-fast and bats right-handed, has featured in 30 ODIs and 46 T20Is for her country.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the 2023 Women's Cricketer of the Year Awards across formats. England all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt was named the Women's Cricketer of the Year while Sri Lankan star Chamari Athapaththu won the ODI Cricketer of the Year. Apart from Sciver-Brunt and Athapaththu, West Indian all-rounder Hayley Matthews won the Women's T20I Cricketer of the Year Award.
