Social media was flooded with memes when RR bowlers including Trent Boult destroyed SRH’s batting lineup during the IPL 2024 Qualifier 2. Rajasthan Royals and SunRisers Hyderabad were up against each other on May 24, Friday, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai for the second qualifier of the season. The winner of the game was to advance to the finale to clash against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday, May 26. The game saw RR skipper Sanju Samson winning the toss and inviting the Orange Army to bat first.
The Pat Cummins-led side, who were the third team to qualify for the playoffs got off to a shaky start. Hyderabad whose batting lineup became a nightmare for the rival bowlers couldn’t withstand RR’s bowlers including Trent Boult, Sandeep Sharma and Avesh Khan. Within no time, SRH lost their batters. Owing to Heinrich Klassen’s 50, the Orange Army posted a total of 175 runs with the loss of nine wickets.
