After Mumbai Indians successfully chased down the total of 214 against Punjab Kings at the PCA I.S. Bindra Stadium in Mohali, the two of the architects of the win, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, had a joyous post-match chat for the IPL website. Kishan scored 75 off 41 deliveries with 7 fours and 4 sixes, while Yadav put together an innings of 66(31), including 8 fours and 2 sixes to hand MI a comprehensive victory by 6 wickets with 7 balls to spare.
Suryakumar Yadav begins the chat by asking the left-hander about his innings earlier in the night. He said, “Ishan Kishan hai aaj mere saath, player of the match. Ishan, aaj ke knock ke baare mein kuch explain kijiye yaar.”
The Mumbai Indians opener replied, “Kuch nahi, mujhe lagta hai start bhi achi hui thi. Aur bich mein sabse important phase hota hai T20 game mein, waha pe aap aaye the batting karne. Aur aapne starting se hi ache shots khelna chalu kar diya toh waha se mere upar se bhi kafi pressure hat gaya ki mujhe ek taraf se maarte rehna hai. Toh wo kafi positive chiz thi match ke liye jo mujhe comfort zone mein daali thi ke main apna game khel sakta hu.”

Ishan Kishan details his innings and then asks SKY about how close he was to not playing this match altogether. The southpaw was quoted as saying, “Mera ho gaya hai ab aap bataiye aap aaye the, you were not feeling well, do din se acha feel nahi kar rahe the, physios ke saath the, kaafi baatein chal rahi thi, khel paoge ki nahi. Par kaisa laga aapne sab tarike ka shot maar diya iss match mein.”

Suddenly, Ishan Kishan intervenes and shares his thoughts about batting with Suryakumar Yadav in the middle. Suryakumar Yadav also shared his thoughts on batting with Ishan Kishan as a partnership. He said, “Bilkul, aur bahut acha laga saath mein batting kar ke, bahut entertaining tha andar, hum batting ke time par cricket ka bilkul baat nahi kar rahe the. Hum sirf ye soch rahe the ki match khatam hoga ki aaj shaam mein kya karenge. Furthermore, Ishan Kishan did mention about what they are going to do next in the city of Mohali. He explained, “Isi ke bich mein Surya bhai ne mujhe ye bhi bataya ki maine apne dost se puch liya hai ki yaha pe kaha ja sakte ho party (Suryakumar Yadav happily exclaims), but but hum log thak chuke hai.”
