Hardik Pandya somehow manages to be in the news frequently. While sometimes it is for cricketing reasons, on other occasions it is for something that he might have said or done somewhere. Even before the start of IPL 2022, he has managed to pull the limelight on him with a cheeky answer that he gave to a journalist at the launch of the Gujarat Titans jersey.

During the event at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the Titans captain was asked his fitness and whether he would be bowling in the upcoming edition of the IPL. However, rather than giving a straightforward "yes" or "no", he said let it be a surprise. The video of his incident had gone viral.

While a section of the fans suggested it was a typical Hardik-type answer, others were left unimpressed with his response to the question and lashed out at the all-rounder. "He is Hyping himself like he is a bowler like Glenn McGrath," wrote one Twitter user.

"You aren’t Mitchell Starc bro We don’t get any ***** by watching u bowl," wrote another.

Meanwhile, it is now being reported that Hardik has reported at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for a fitness Test prior to the IPL season. Only if he gets a clearance, will he be asked to bowl in the T20 competition starting from March 26. Gujarat Titans will begin their campaign against the Lucknow Super Giants on March 28 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
