Virat Kohli loves making centuries on and off the field. Kohli has made 70 in his international career so far. However, this time it is an off-field hundred that has put him into limelight. Team Indian skipper recently became the first cricketer in the world to have gained 100 million followers on social media platform Instagram. The 32-year-old Kohli is also the first person in the Asia-Pacific region to achieve this amazing feat.

Kohli has now shared a message of gratitude for his Insta family. Taking to the social media platform, he shared a video chronicling some of the highlights of his account. He wrote, " You have made this journey beautiful. Feeling blessed and grateful for all the love. Thank you ❤️ 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ million #instafam."

Overall, Virat Kohli is the fourth most followed sportsperson on the platform. While Portugal football star Cristiano Ronaldo tops the chart with as many as 265 million followers, Argentina legend Lionel Messi and Brazil's Neymar are second and third in the list with 186 million and 147 million followers respectively. The others in 100 million club include Hollywood actor and former pro-wrestler Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), American singer-songwriter Beyonce and Arian Grande.

Virat, who is widely regarded as one the best batsmen in the world, is expected to surpass legendary Sachin Tendulkar's landmark feat of 100 international hundreds, having hit 27 tons in Tests and 43 in ODIs already. He is currently leading the Indian team against England in the four-match Test series which India are leading 2-1.
