After sources close to SportsTiger confirmed that former India cricketer and Gujarat Titans head coach, Ashish Nehra and the Director of Cricket, Vikram Solanki are set to leave the franchise ahead of the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), new reports have emerged adding that Yuvraj Singh could join the side.
However, a source was quoted saying by News18 that the discussions are already underway between GT and the former Indian all-rounder Singh, adding that the franchise could see a lot of changes. “Lot of changes on the cards. Ashish Nehra and Vikram Solanki are highly likely to move on and discussions around Yuvraj Singh have already begun. Nothing is finalised right now, but there could be some major changes in the coaching staff of the Gujarat Titans,” a source stated as quoted by News18.
Both Nehra and Solanki have been associated with the Gujarat-based franchise since their inaugural season in 2022. They even took the franchise to the IPL final twice, lifting the title in 2022. However, the Shubman Gill-led side did not have a great outing the IPL 2024. The franchise finished in eighth place on the points table with only five wins, seven losses and two draws from 14 league matches.
