Zimbabwe have picked a 15-member squad for the upcoming one-off Test match against Ireland, which will begin on February 6 at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. The Craig Ervine-led Zimbabwean cricket team will be looking to bounce back from the recent home Test series loss against Afghanistan, and for that, they have introduced a couple of uncapped players, namely leg spinner Vincent Masekesa and batter Nicholas Welch in their squad which will take on Ireland.

Notably, Vincent Masekesa, who is 27 years of age, has played in 15 First-Class matches, in which he has taken 49 wickets at an average of 34.40. Meanwhile, his fellow uncapped teammate Nicholas Welch, 27, has been a part of 26 First-Class matches, scoring 1,216 runs at an average of 31, which would put them in good stead to potentially make their Test debut for Zimbabwe, but regardless, they will be better for the experience.

After losing the two-match home Test series to Afghanistan 0-1 at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, the Zimbabwean selectors have left out Dion Myers and Tadiwanashe Marumani from the squad for the one-off Test versus Ireland. As far as Sikandar Raza’s exclusion is concerned, he had committed his time to playing for Dubai Capitals in the International League T20 (ILT20) 2025 before the international schedule was confirmed, which is why he opted out from the match.

Moreover, Sean Williams, one of the key batters in the Zimbabwean lineup, has been declared fit to take part in the upcoming one-off Test match against Ireland at the start of next month.

Below is the Zimbabwean squad for the one-off Test match versus Ireland:

Zimbabwe: Craig Ervine (c), Brian Bennett, Johnathan Campbell, Ben Curran, Joylord Gumbie, Trevor Gwandu, Takudzwanashe Kaitano, Vincent Masekesa, Nyasha Mayavo, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, Newman Nyamhuri, Victor Nyauchi, Nicholas Welch, Sean Williams
