Cricket can ignite a rivalry between two nations who don’t have any history and the same has happened between Pakistan and Zimbabwe. Two nations who play bilateral series quite often were made to lock horns at the T20 World Cup 2022 and the results of the game left everyone stunned. Zimbabwe, who had to play qualifiers to find a place in the Super 12s, beat Pakistan by one run to crush their hopes to qualify for the semifinals.

It was an unforgettable day for Zimbabwe who lit up the Perth Stadium with their enthusiasm and contagious spirit. With a win against a top T20I side, Zimbabwe cricket fans went into jubilation. The whole nation celebrated their team’s win over Pakistan. The country’s President also shared a tweet congratulating the team on the famous victory. But he also left a warning for Pakistan in his tweet.

Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, President of the Republic of Zimbabwe warned Pakistan about sending a real Mr Bean (citizens of Zimbabwe accused Pakistan of sending a fake Mr Bean to the country for a show). “What a win for Zimbabwe! Congratulations to the Chevrons. Next time, send the real Mr Bean…” tweeted Mnangagwa post Zimbabwe’s win.

While it felt obvious to the people that the Zimbabwe President was being sarcastic with his tweet, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took this to his heart as he replied to the tweet from Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa. “We may not have the real Mr Bean, but we have real cricketing spirit .. and we Pakistanis have a funny habit of bouncing back :) Mr President: Congratulations. Your team played really well today,” tweeted Sharif while replying to Zimbabwe's President.
