It's amazing being back: Graeme Cremer on his return to cricket
The Zimbabwe international had left playing cricket to move to the UAE in 2018 with his family because his wife, Merna Moore was offered a position as pilot for Emirates. During his break from cricket for seven years, in 2019, he acted as a coaching consultant for the UAE cricket team for their tour to Zimbabwe. Cremer was also the director of Rajasthan Royals Cricket Academy in the middle eastern country.
After his match against the Queens Sports Club in Zimbabwe's National Premier League, Cremer said, “It’s amazing being back”, playing professional cricket. The 38-year-old stated that his team welcomed him back with open arms and that the team environment was amazing. Cremer will be looking to bring forward the same kind of impact when Zimbabwe will host the Africa Regional Qualifier for the upcoming T20 World Cup from September 26 to October 4.
