Double Olympic medalist PV Sindhu revealed the priceless advice she received from Indian batting legend Virat Kohli. The Indian sport stalwarts recently met in Bengaluru at the Indian Sports Summit hosted by RCB Innovation Lab in Bengaluru. Following the event, Sindhu revealed the advice she received from the RCB batter and former skipper and shared how he consistently guided her and encouraged her whenever she sought support.

The legendary shuttler called him a true senior and praised Kohli’s humility as well as willingness to inspire fellow athletes. “Every time I’ve needed guidance, you’ve always been there with the right advice and the right words. There is no better example of what a true senior in Indian sport should be: generous, grounded, inspiring, and always willing to lift others up,” Sindhu wrote, sharing a picture of her with the RCB batter on Instagram.

Not only this, but she also revealed Kohli’s simple yet powerful message to her to never back down. “Never back down, PV. Advice taken. Keep being the absolute force of a human being that you are. Indian sport is better because of people like you,” Sindhu further wrote.

We aren't even 15% of the fitness of an Indian hockey player: Virat Kohli shares brutal reality of Indian cricketers’ fitness

The talismanic batter known for his unbelievable fitness standards shared that despite being a prime sport, cricketers are not even 15% of the fitness of an Indian hockey player. "Cricket is in such prime focus in our country that we often overlook other sports. If I am being honest, we aren't even 15% of the fitness of an Indian hockey player. If the hockey players watch our training sessions, they would laugh because their sport demands far more," Kohli said.

"I know people sometimes look at fitness as something extraordinary, but for me, it is what the job demands. It should be the norm, not something celebrated as special," he added. Kohli-starring RCB will be up against the SunRisers Hyderabad on May 22 in their last league-stage game of the season at Hyderabad.
