Kyrie Irving has finally weighed in on the chatter about his absence from the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 2016 championship reunion, and he made sure to shift the spotlight back to the team’s incredible achievement. The former Cavs star, now playing for the Dallas Mavericks, shared a heartfelt message: “All for one. One for all. WE completed the mission together as brothers, and that's all that matters to me.”
This came after fans noticed he wasn’t part of the 10-year reunion trip in Europe, which included LeBron James, Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson, J.R. Smith, and other key players from that title-winning team. As speculation swirled on social media, Irving’s response highlighted that he still cherishes the bond created during Cleveland’s unforgettable championship journey and sees it as a collective triumph.

His remarks followed reports that scheduling conflicts kept him from attending the reunion. Instead, Irving was busy mentoring top high school prospects at the NBPA Top 100 Camp in South Carolina before heading back to New Jersey for community events tied to his partnership with sportswear brand Anta.
While J.R. Smith playfully joked online that “He was invited and ghosted us all. So stop with that bs.”

LeBron James earned the Finals MVP award after delivering one of the most memorable performances in championship history. He averaged an impressive 29.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 8.9 assists throughout the seven-game series. In the decisive Game 7, James notched a triple-double with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. One of the standout moments of the Finals was his legendary chase-down block on Andre Iguodala in the final minutes, a play that not only preserved the tie but also became a defining highlight of the series.
Irving played a vital role in Cleveland’s championship journey. He put up impressive numbers, averaging 27.1 points and 3.9 assists, while nailing 40.5 percent of his three-point attempts. His standout 41-point game in Game 5 was crucial for keeping the Cavaliers in the hunt. Then, in the final showdown, with the score knotted at 89-89, Irving sank a game-changing three-pointer over Stephen Curry with just 53 seconds left on the clock.
