Wimbledon is one of the oldest and the most prestigious tennis tournaments in the world, and lifting the Wimbledon slam title remains one of the greatest achievements in tennis. Since the Open Era began in 1968, the championships have produced legendary champions, unforgettable finals, and remarkable upsets on the grass courts of the All England Club.
The 2026 edition of the Wimbledon ladies has been very competitive and we are into the final of the tournament with Karolina Muchova taking on fellow Czech player, Linda Noskova. Both players are eyeing for their first slam.

A Tournament Rich in History
Wimbledon has witnessed several golden eras. Martina Navratilova dominated the 1980s with a record nine singles titles, while Steffi Graf, the Williams sisters, and Serena Williams each defined different generations with their success on grass.
In recent years, the women's draw has become increasingly competitive, with champions including Ashleigh Barty, Elena Rybakina, Marketa Vondrousova, Barbora Krejcikova, and Iga Swiatek adding their names to Wimbledon history. Their victories highlight the depth and quality of the modern WTA Tour while continuing the rich tradition of the Championships. Either one of Karolina Muchova or Linda Noskova have a chance to get their first ever slam.
