Chris Jericho, one of the greatest pro-wrestlers of all time, is currently a part of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), being a cornerstone for the promotion since it came into existence in 2019. Although it has been widely reported that the 54-year-old’s contract with AEW will run out towards the end of 2025, which is why many pro-wrestling fans are speculating that his World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) return is imminent.
During his illustrious pro-wrestling career, Chris Jericho spent majority of his time at WWE, winning multiple world titles, with his last appearance for them happening back in 2018 before he signed for AEW. In a latest interview to Daily Mail, when Y2J was asked about the situation regarding his rumored return to WWE, he talked about being happy with AEW but wasn’t opposed to the idea of going back.
Would I go back to WWE? I wouldn't be opposed to it: Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho was quite clear about not leaving AEW anytime soon despite rumors circulating online to the contrary. He said, “I'm not going anywhere for a while, I'm still with AEW for right now. Would I go back to WWE? I wouldn't be opposed to it. We just have to see what happens. But the best thing that can happen is that you have two great teams that you can play for, and that just makes everything bigger and more exciting.”

Notably, after signing for AEW in 2019, Chris Jericho went onto become the first-ever World Heavyweight Champion in the promotion, to help open doors for them to greater things. Y2J is still among the highest paid stars in AEW despite being in his 50s, but if his contract is really running out with them, then it will be interesting to see whether he is going to be offered a similar paycheck like before.
Regardless, the fans can expect Chris Jericho to make his return to WWE someday, if not in a wrestling capacity, then most certainly for a Hall of Fame induction due to a stellar career with them back in the day.
