On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown from the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes laid out World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins with a thunderous Cross Rhodes in the main event, to close out the show. These two top superstars of their respective brands got physical just over a week before their champion versus champion match at WWE Crown Jewel Premium Live Event (PLE) at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.

The main event of WWE SmackDown was a blockbuster tag team match involving Cody Rhodes, who teamed up with his close friend Randy Orton, to take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed of The Vision, which is led by Seth Rollins with The Oracle Paul Heyman by his side. All the superstars in action brought their best to the squared circle, bringing the capacity crowd in attendance to their feat time and again.

Towards the flag end of the hard-hitting contest, when Randy Orton was in control against Bronson Reed, hitting him with a hanging DDT off the ropes, Paul Heyman distracted the referee. The diversion allowed Seth Rollins to insert himself into the proceedings, taking out Randy Orton with the stomp, which allowed Bronson Reed to position the Viper for a massive Tsunami to pick up one of the biggest wins of his WWE career.

Seth Rollins was told by Paul Heyman to not attack Cody Rhodes at WWE SmackDown

After the conclusion of the match, with The Vision standing tall outside the ring, Seth Rollins saw Cody Rhodes vulnerable inside the ring with Randy Orton taken out for the time being. He looked at Paul Heyman, who told him not to go inside the ring to take out Cody Rhodes, but Seth Rollins ignored The Oracle, which led to a failed attempt at stomping the WWE Champion, only to get laid out by Cross Rhodes instead.

With just eight days remaining until their highly anticipated showdown in Australia, it will be interesting to see what more hoops Seth Rollins is willing to place in front of Cody Rhodes.
