The newest edition of WWE SmackDown will take place at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio, and it will serve as the go home show for the Wrestlepalooza Premium Live Event (PLE) the day after. After challenging Drew McIntyre to a match for his WWE Championship on last week’s show, Cody Rhodes will make an appearance on SmackDown, to address the situation surrounding him and the challenger just about 24 hours before their big fight at Wrestlepalooza.
Sami Zayn is set to defend his WWE United States Championship against Carmelo Hayes in an open challenge inspired by John Cena a couple of weeks ago on SmackDown. It will be interesting to see what’s going to be next in the rivalry between WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill after their championship match last week ended in a double count out before Nia Jax made an impact by demolishing both of them.
It is a stacked card put together for WWE SmackDown, which is expected to throw a few surprises apart from scheduled matches, just like every other weekly show in the promotion.
