In the second episode of SportsTiger’s exclusive series ‘Mission Gold’, listen to Indian sprinter Arokia Rajiv’s journey from a small town in Tamil Nadu to qualifying for India at the Olympic Games. Rajiv talks about his transition from starting with long jump to becoming a 400m sprinter. Rajiv also spoke about the challenges he faced mentally due to lockdowns and the Olympics getting postponed. The 29-year-old won silver medals in the men's and mixed 4 × 400 m relays at the 2018 Asian Games and bagged third place in the individual 400 m in 2014. He won medals in both the 400 m and 4 × 400 m events at the 2016 South Asian Games and 2017 Asian Championships. He competed in the relay at the Rio Olympics in 2016.
