There are hardly any tricks on the football pitch that Lionel Messi cannot do. While he is an absolute champion and can make the toughest of skills seem ridiculously easy to execute in a high-pressure match, he pulled off another such act during Paris Saint-Germain's UEFA Champions League group-stage match against RB Leipzig.

While the Bundesliga side looked set to upset the French giants in this game, eventually it was the Messi show that sealed the three points in favour of PSG. Messi scored a brace in this match, while his on-field goal was superb as usual, this time around it was his penalty kick that has grabbed all the headlines.

The record six-time Ballon d'Or winner converted a penalty in the dying stages of the match against RB Leipzig at a stage when scores were levelled 2-2. It was in such a tense situation that PSG won a penalty and trusted their talisman to do the job for the team who did not disappoint.

Messi, in fact, deceived the opposition goalkeeper by producing a picture-perfect panenka penalty. While the goalkeeper committed himself to dive to his left, it was in fact a trick as the ball rose and came down near the centre of the goalpost. However, by the time the goalkeeper realised, PSG were up 3-2 which turned to be the final scoreline.

After the match, Messi also took to social media to share a few pictures of himself from the memorable evening.

"Vamooosss!!! Era importante ganar hoy en la @championsleague y fuimos capaces de darlo vuelta," his post was captioned.

As a result of the win and three points over their German opponents on Tuesday evening, PSG are at the top of Group A with 7 points from 3 matches. They are 1 point clear of Manchester City who too registered a win in their game on Tuesday.

Even in the Ligue 1 too, PSG are leading by a country mile at the moment with 27 points in 10 matches. They have taken all the points on offer in each of their 10 matches except the only match against Rennes where they lost 0-2.
