The 14th edition of Indian Premier League keeps on producing something audacious every other day. The fans just can't stop but appreciate what the players have been doing on the field, despite so much mental pressure on them due to the current situation. Another such incident happened during match no. 25 between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders where youngster Prithvi Shaw left the fans completely shocked with his stylish stroke-making.

Prithvi Shaw enters the history books

As DC restricted KKR to a total of 154/6 in 20 overs, they were expected to start the run-chase cautiously. However, Prithvi Shaw had completely different plans and approach as he stepped on to the crease. After Shivam Mavi bowled a wide off the very first delivery, the DC opener started an assault which Mavi and the fans all over the world will remember for some time. The 21-year-old smashed six consecutive boundaries off the next six deliveries which included some glorious cover drives. Notably, Shaw became the first-ever player in IPL history to hit 6 fours in an over while chasing.

Mavi was left completely clueless as everyone sitting in the dugout stood and applauded the heroics of this young sensation. Shaw continued to wreak havoc in the next few overs as he went on to complete his half-century in only 18 deliveries. While it turned out to be the fastest fifty of this season, it was also the second-fastest ever for a Delhi Capitals player in IPL history. Notably, Chris Morris had smashed a 17-ball fifty for DC in 2016 against Gujarat Lions.
