India continued their dominance against Sri Lanka as they defeated the Dasun Shanka-led team 3-0 in the T20I series. Rohit Sharma and Co. proved too hot to handle for the Sri Lankans as they got no chance to register a win against the Men in Blue. In the first T20I, Indian batters put on a show as they scored a mammoth 199 from their quota of 20 overs. Then, they stopped Sri Lanka for 137 to take the game home.

The second T20I saw Sri Lanka showing some fight with the bat and scoring a fine 183 to while batting first. However, the score seemed two little against Indian battles who won the game with 23 balls to spare. Nothing changed in the third T20I has India restricted Sri Lanka to a 146 and then won the game comprehensively.

Rohit Sharma as the white ball captain has always been a treat to watch he has taken every step in the right direction. From making changes to the playing 11 to field placements and bowling changes, Sharma got everything right in the series. Playing Shreyas Iyer at Number 3 paid really well for the Men in Blue as the better emerged as a Player of the Series with three half-centuries. While Rohit's on-field captaincy earned him a lot of praise, his off-field gesture was also second to none.

An incident caught the eyes of everyone during the post-match presentation. After collecting the trophy, Sharma handed it to a person outside of the team management. The video of the same started doing rounds on the internet with people wondering who the person was and why Rohit handed him the trophy.

Well the person who received the trophy from Sharma was Jaydev Shah, the son of former BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah. Also, Jaydev is a veteran first-class cricketer with more than 5000 runs to his name, including 10 centuries and 20 half-centuries in first-class cricket. Not only fans but Jaydev himself was surprised when Rohit handed him the trophy and asked him to join the team for a picture. After showing reluctance for a while, Jaydev eventually agreed to pose with the team
