Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took a jibe on India Women’s dominant win over Pakistan Women in match number six of the ongoing Women’s Cricket World Cup in Colombo on October 5. The Women in Blue defeated Pakistan Women by 88 runs to register their second consecutive win in the ongoing tournament. With this, India Women also registered their 12th straight win over Pakistan Women in the ODI format.
India Women are yet to lose an ODI match against Pakistan Women since 2005 and showed another dominant performance against the neighbouring country. However, this is not first time that the Indian team came out victorious against Pakistan on the cricket field this year. After India’s win, the ruling party BJP shared a video on their social media with a caption, “Indian women beat Pak women by 88 runs in Women’s ODI World Cup. #𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬.”
India’s dominance over Pakistan on cricketing field in 2025
India had a dominant outing over Pakistan so far on the cricketing field in the year 2025. Both the teams first met during the group stage of Champions Trophy 2025 in February. In that game, Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 100* as India won that game by six wickets. After that, both India and Pakistan locked horns three times in the Asia Cup 2025 including group stage, Super 4s and the final.
India ended up winning all three games including the final with Tilak Varma playing a match-winning knock of 69* runs in the title clash. India won the Asia Cup 2025 by defeating Pakistan in the final. Now, the India Women’s team also registered a dominant victory over Pakistan Women in the ongoing Women’s Cricket World Cup.
