Hanuma Vihari has apparently dropped a social media post in which he has taken aim at KS Bharat. Both players recently participated in the Andhra Premier League (APL) 2025 and the two were the captains of their respective sides. Vihari guided Capital Amaravathi Royals to the final while Bharat was leading Kakinada Kings. Amaravathi failed to lift the title after losing to Tungabhadra Warriors in the final and concluded their journey as runners-up. On the other hand, Kakinada failed to qualify for the playoffs as their campaign ended after losing to Royals of Rayalaseema and Bhimavaram Bulls.
During the tournament, Vihari and Bharat engaged in a verbal tussle in the opening contest. After six days of the APL 2025 final, Vihari took to Instagram and seemingly launched an acrimonious attack on KS Bharat. He wrote, “We may not have lifted the trophy, but don’t forget we sent you packing long before the finals,” with a picture of himself and KS Bharat in it. With the social media post, Vihari looked like taunting Bharat for his team’s miserable campaign in the league.
KS Bharat and Hanuma Vihari served the Andhra cricket team together
Both Vihari and Bharat played for the Andhra cricket team together for a long time. Recently, Vihari announced that he is moving to Tripura after receiving a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Andhra Cricket Association. Bharat is currently the captain of Andhra’s List A side.
The two players are notable figures in the Andhra cricket team. Vihari has scored 3013 runs in 44 matches and is the fifth-leading run-getter in the team, while Bharat is the second-highest run-scorer for the side, with 4023 runs in 111 innings of 65 games. Hanuma will play for the third team in his domestic career. Before joining Andhra, he was a part of Hyderabad from 2009 to 2016.
