Bangladesh captain Litton Das is oozing confidence for his team for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 to be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), from September 9 to 28, 2025. Bangladesh put up ordinary performances in the last couple of Asia Cup editions. This time, their supporters are expecting them to be at their best and lift the trophy for the first time. The Bangla side are placed in Group B, alongside Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong. On September 11, they will play their opening game against Hong Kong at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

Before heading towards the massive Asian event, Bangladesh hammered the Netherlands by 2-0 in a three-match T20 International (T20I) series. Following the victory, the Bangla skipper Litton Das said his team is geared up for the upcoming challenge. "I believe we are well prepared for the Asia Cup. I had said from the very beginning, the camp we did was not just for this series. It was also to make sure we are ready for the series (Asia Cup) ahead. I have never seen such a good camp. Fitness can be done in Mirpur as well, but the kind of practice we wanted to do was only possible in Sylhet. So I feel, overall, this journey was really good for us. Overall, I felt everything was positive," said Das as quoted by Cricbuzz.

Bangladesh’s recent success in T20I cricket

This year, Litton Das and co. have looked disciplined after losing the T20I series against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Pakistan in the first-half of the year. Before hammering the Dutch side, the Bangla team also vanquished Pakistan by 2-1 in the three-match T20I series played at home.

Earlier, they also won the T20I series in Sri Lanka. Litton and his men made a comeback in the series after losing the first game in Kandy. In the upcoming Asia Cup, they will look to take their scintillating form ahead to give stiff competition to the favourites of the tournament.
