Australia all-rounder Beau Webster broke into Test cricket in January 2025 with his maiden appearance against India in Sydney. Within nine months, he showcased his stellar potential while donning Australia whites and also received appreciation from his captain Pat Cummins. The 31-year-old has played seven Tests thus far, in which he has notched up 381 runs with four fifties in 12 innings. With the ball, he has taken eight wickets in 11 innings.

Despite being decent as an all-rounder for the Aussie side, Webster feels he has to work diligently to keep his spot in the side as Cameron Green will give the Tasmania-born player a stiff competition as an all-rounder. “With all the wonderful cricketers around the country, and especially a guy like Cameron Green, he batted at the top of the order [in the West Indies], and didn't bowl. He's obviously going to be back bowling this summer, which is going to put a bit more pressure on my spot at No.6 as the all-rounder. But I welcome it,” said Webster while speaking to the media in Hobart.

Australia’s next red-ball fixture is against England in The Ashes to be held November 21, 2025 to January 8, 2026. Webster is gearing up to be a part of every game against the English team. “It's going to be a massive summer. I'm sure the team's going to change a little bit throughout those five Tests. I'm just going to do everything I can to make sure I'm there for all five,” added Webster.

Beau Webster's recent performance

Beau Webster played his last Test against the West Indies in Kingston. In Australia’s flawless campaign, he chipped in with 150 runs in six innings. As a bowler, he bagged five wickets in five innings. In the second Test played at St George’s, he produced a 6-run knock in the first innings.

After the Frank-Worrell Trophy, he showed up in County Championship Division One for Warwickshire. Playing two matches in the tournament, he scored 57 and an unbeaten 100 against Worcestershire in Birmingham.
