Yashasvi Jaiswal is among such young players who went on to make their name popular among fans despite their short international career so far. The left-hander is turning out to be a next start of the Indian cricket team and has already become a prominent name in the Indian Test side. However, the journey of playing for Team India wasn’t easy for Jaiswal. Recently, the 23-year-old opened up about his struggles and how he used to sell pani puri and live in tents during his struggling days.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was recently seen in a podcast with Raj Shamani on YouTube where he shared that he used to stay in tents in Mumbai and sell pani puri to survive. “I used to stay with my uncle for a while. One day, I got a chance to stay in the tent. There was a club called Muslim United, and I had to participate in a game I wanted to excel at, and I did well. Then they offered me to stay there. I just wanted to be around a cricket environment and work on my game,” Jaiswal said.

Put 100% in whatever you are doing: Yashasvi Jasiwal

Speaking further, Yashasvi Jaiswal also said that he has no hesitation in accepting that he used to sell pani puri as no work is big or small for him. Jaiswal also opened up about his bond with the people of Muslim United club and how they are like a family to him.

“People there became my family, and if something is cooking for them, I help them. If they called me to help them after practice, I used to accompany them to earn some money. That was my life back then. And, it’s okay because no work is big or small. All that matters is that you put your 100 per cent in whatever you are doing,” Jaiswal said.
