On Monday, August 25, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the Women in Green’s 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, set to be played in India and Sri Lanka. The 50-over tournament, which will be played from September 30 to November 2 across five venues, will see Pakistan Women play all their matches in Colombo’s R Premadasa International Stadium.

With the tournament still over a month, the Women in Green announced 15-member squad along with five reserves. While the side will be led by Fatima Sana, it has got some new faces as well. The side have included uncapped batter Eyman Fatima, who made her international debut in T20I series against Ireland.

The right-handed batter finds a place after an impressive performance in the National T20 tournament. Moreover, the squad also features new faces, who will be marking their maiden appearance in the Women’s World Cup, including Natalia Parvaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal, Shawaal Zulfiqur and Syeda Aroob Shah.

Speaking of their campaign, the Fatima Sana-led side will begin their tournament in a match against Bangladesh on October 2. They are then set to face arch-rivals India on October 5 in Sri Lanka. Prior to the tournament, Pakistan will play two warm-up games - one against Sri Lanka on September 25 and the second on September 28 against Sri Lanka A.
