The Men’s Asia Cup 2025 concluded on Sunday, September 28 with Team India once again coming out victorious. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side, who came into the final after six wins on the trot, defeated Pakistan in the summit clash by five-wicket margin at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai to win their record ninth title.

However, the Men in Blue were denied of the Asia Cup trophy after refusing to take from Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, the match was marred with several other controversies. Amidst many was one just at the start of the crucial match in Dubai.

Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf caught on camera disrespecting Indian national anthem

In latest pictures which have emerged on social media, Pakistan pacers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf were seen disrespecting the Indian national anthem. While both the teams stood for their respective anthems at the start of the match, cameras caught Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf talking during India’s national anthem, a moment which has sparked massive outrage.

While this wasn’t the only thing which caught eyeballs. At toss an unusual incident took place as Ravi Shastri interviewed Suryakumar Yadav after he won the toss and elected to bowl first, Waqar Younis handled Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha - a rare sight.
