India registered a dominant seven-wicket win over Pakistan in match number six of the Asia Cup 2025 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, September 14. After the match, the Indian players avoided hand shakes with the Pakistani players and Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav also dedicated the victory to the armed forces of the country. Suryakumar also mentioned that the Indian team stands with the families of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack

After the handshake row, there have been different reactions from the people of both the countries. Now another report emerged that Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav will not accept the trophy from ACC President Mohsin Naqvi if Men in Blue win the Asia Cup 2025 title. As reported by PTI, Mohsin Naqvi who is also the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), will hand the trophy to the winning captain after the final in Dubai on September 28, and the Indian players will not share the presentation dais with him.

“…it is reliably learnt that if India make the tournament’s final on September 28, the players won’t be sharing the presentation dais with Naqvi, who is expected to hand over the winner’s trophy as ACC head," quoted by PTI.

PCB demands suspension of IND vs PAK match referee

Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board also demanded action against Andy Pycroft, who was the referee for the toss ahead of the India versus Pakistan clash in Dubai. The PCB alleged Andy for telling both the captains to not shake hands during the toss and want him to be removed as referee from the whole Asia Cup.

“The PCB has lodged a complaint with the ICC regarding violations by the Match Referee of the ICC Code of Conduct and the MCC Laws pertaining to the Spirit of Cricket. The PCB has demanded an immediate removal of the Match Referee from the Asia Cup," confirmed PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi via social media post.
