Ex-wife of senior Indian pacer Yuzvendra Chahal, Dhanashree Verma has once again come out, speaking out loud over the ongoing buzz after her divorce with the veteran Indian cricketer. While the couple had been living part for several months, they were officially divorced in March 2025. Months after their separation, both have opened up on their respective stance, putting forward their respective statements.

While the renowned choreographer Dhanashree Verma last time spoke of Yuzvendra Chahal’s indirect dig with “Be Your Own Sugar Daddy” t-shirt, she has now opened up on the “gold-digger” trolling from fans. Dhanashree, who appeared on reality show Rise and Fall, hosted by Ashneer Grover, Verma now aims to rewrite narratives.

Agar yeh main bolu, toh jo mujhe pyaar milne wala hoga who bhi nahi milega: Dhanashree Verma

In a promo video for the upcoming episode of the reality show, where Dhanashree Verma appeared with actor Arjun Bijlani, opened up on the remarks. When asked to pick either of a gold bag containing INR 2 Lakh and a silver bag with INR 1 Lakh, the actor joked and said, “Dekho, mujhe diamond, silver thoda suit nahi karta. Mujhe gold suit karta hai (Look, diamonds and silver don’t suit me. Gold suits me).”

To this, Dhanashree gave a witty comeback and subtly referenced the trolling she has faced, saying, “Yeh line toh main bol nahi sakti. Agar maine yeh line bol di toh jo mujhe pyaar milne wala hoga who bhi nahi milega (I cannot say this line. If I say it, I won’t even get the love I’m supposed to receive).”

Earlier in an interview with Humans of Bombay, Dhanashree Verma had said, “There is a reason why we say personal life. It has to be private. A coin has two sides. You cannot clap with a single hand. Just because I am not speaking, doesn’t give anybody the power to take advantage of that. It’s not correct and I don’t think it should happen with anybody. It’s done and dusted, please move on.”
