Star India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and actor-dancer Dhanashree Verma must have been officially divorced, news surrounding the two is still on. Months after officially getting separated, the Indian cricketer broke silence on his divorce with Dhanashree, the latter has now opened up. It is to be noted that the couple tied a knot in December 2020, and just after four years, they finalised a divorce in March 2025.
Recently, the choreographer and Chahal’s ex-wife appeared on a podcast with Humans of Bombay. During the the conversation, Dhanashree spoke about the mental and emotional breakdown she went through during this time and also addressed her side of story. Amidst many such topics, the actor-dancer also opened upon Chahal wearing “Be You Own Sugar Daddy” written t-shirt on their final hearing.

It is to be noted that during the final hearing of their divorce case, the Indian spinner was spotted wearing a black t-shirt which has “Be your Own Sugar Daddy” written on it. While the moment stole the spotlight and became a talking point. Recently, the 28-year-old was asked about the same where she opined that the cricketer should have taken a private approach rather than making it big and public.
Addressing the viral moment, Dhanashree said, "You know that people are going to blame you. Before I had even known that this t-shirt stunt had happened, we were all aware that people were going to blame me for this.” “Are bhai, WhatsApp kar deta. T-shirt kyun pehna hai? (You should have sent it on WhatsApp. Why wear the t-shirt?)" she added.

However, the divorce of the couple was long in news after they were said to have lived separately for 18 months, it finally was put to paper on March 20, 2025 at the Bandra Family Court.
