Only days after clinching the Men's Asia Cup 2025 title in Dubai, the Indian team are currently hosting West Indies in a two-match Test series. While the first Test is underway at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the two teams will travel to Delhi for the second Test, set to be played from October 10 to 14.

For the unversed, the Roston Chase-led side won the toss and elected to bat first in Ahmedabad. After failing to get a good start at the top, the visitors suffered a batting collapse as they were bundled out at the score of 162 in 44.1 overs. While Mohammed Siraj was the star with the ball, picking a four-wicket haul, Bumrah scalped three whereas Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar got two and one to their names, respectively.

Thereafter, on the back of three centuries - one each from KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja, India declared at 448/5, posting a lead of 286 runs. With the Windies taking the field on Day 3, the visitors were handed their first jolt in just the eighth over. With Siraj being re-introduced into the attack, Chanderpaul swiveled across on the pull and found Nitish Reddy at square leg.

The Indian all-rounder was spot on as he threw himself on his left to complete a superb diving catch with both hands, ending Chanderpaul’s innings at eight of just 23 deliveries. While Ravindra Jadeja, who scored an unbeaten 104 off 176 deliveries, gave India their second breakthrough as a combined effort from him along with Sai Sudharsan got John Campbell out at just 14 runs.
