Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have dropped a video on social media to praise the efforts of Rajat Patidar, who guided the team to their first Indian Premier League (IPL) title as a skipper. Under Patidar’s leadership, Bengaluru beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2025 final held in Ahmedabad and lifted the coveted trophy. With this achievement, Patidar pulled off the success which distinguished names such as Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Daniel Vettori, Virat Kohli, and Faf du Plessis couldn’t achieve for Challengers in the leadership role.

After three months of RCB’s title triumph, the franchise posted a clip which celebrated Patidar’s leadership prowess in IPL 2025. The clip featured legend Virat Kohli, Director of Cricket for RCB Mo Bobat, and batting coach of the team Dinesh Karthik. In February 2025, Challengers announced Patidar as their captain. Under his leadership, RCB concluded the round-robin stage in the second position with nine wins and four losses in 14 contests. In the playoffs and the final, Patidar and his men beat Punjab and bagged the trophy.
