Surely cricketers from Pakistan know a way to be in the limelight even if their cricketing skills might not warrant them some praise or attention when it most matters. No randomspeak this! Yet another day, and yet another absolutely loathsome, totally useless and needless statement levelled by a Pakistan cricketer where it comes to speaking about the cricket of their neighbours: i.e., Indian cricket. And on this occasion, the statement said - as per normal- for no apparent reason, but obviously- without any apparent context. The only difference being that on most occasions it’s the former Pakistan cricketers turned social media game critics who level questionable statements where it comes to their Indian counterparts and this time around, it’s actually a current member of the Pakistan side who may wanted to refrain from creating unnecessary fuss.
That’s all that there is to it!
Turns out that current member of the Pakistani national side, a batter, Hasan Nawaz has managed to draw strong reactions online basis a statement that he levelled with respect to the Indian bowlers that could so necessarily or easily have been avoided. And this, by the way, make no mistake is a current young cricketer whose one career is developing as we speak.
I hate all their bowlers, want to 'attack' them: Hasan Nawaz on playing against India
To be critical of someone is fair. That sort of thing happens all the time. But to make a strong rebuke of another cricketer especially if there’s not been any bad blood or heated exchange between opponents can be considered a touch unnecessary.
Going as far as using the term “hate”, Hasan Nawaz shared recently in an off field interview that he dislikes every single Indian bowler. Speaking his mind boldly and perhaps wildly on the matter, Hasan Nawaz was of the opinion that matches against an India to tend to bring out a different mindset. While that sort of statement isn’t against the spirit of maintaining a sense of camaraderie, what certainly is, is what Nawaz further added:
“When playing against India, of course there’s extra motivation. You naturally feel like you want to attack their bowlers. I hate all their bowlers, to be honest. And InshaAllah, if given the chance, we’ll try to do that going forward!”
Nawaz, who made his debut form the Pakistan national side in T20 cricket in 2025, hasn’t really played all that cricket but has registered a ton and two fifties in the format. He’s largely a white ball player and has played against India on only one single occasion in which he scored 5 runs. That’s about that.
Here’s what must be thought about and given some thought where it comes to Pakistan’s youngsters. When greats of Pakistan such as Wasim Akram and Inzamam among the others maintain cordial ties with India and do not speak unnecessarily bad about their old cricketing rivals, then can’t the youth of today learn from them and get better.
But of course, manners can’t really be taught isn’t it?
