In the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) 2025, Kochi Blue Tigers beat Aries Kollam Sailors by 75 runs in the final and lifted the trophy. During the tournament, some names looked exceptional and grabbed a lot of eyeballs. India wicket-keeper Sanju Samson shone with his bat and emerged as one of the best batters for Kochi but besides him, some other non-prominent names also did their jobs efficiently and emerged as the best performers. These players were magnificent in their roles and delivered some cheerful moments to their teams. Noting some impactful performers of KCL 2025, some Indian Premier League (IPL) teams might go after them in the upcoming auction of the cash-rich tournament.

Here are KCL’s three best performers who might be picked up by IPL teams in the upcoming auction

As a batter, he scored 314 runs and while donning the role of bowlers, he scalped 25 wickets and emerged as the best bowler in the season. Noting his all-round prowess and performance in IPL 2025, teams might raise paddles for them at the business event.

Ahammed Imran, playing for Thrissur Titans looked extraordinary with his bat. He struck 437 runs in 11 contests at a strike rate of 168.08 and concluded the season as the second most successful batter. This year, Delhi Capitals (DC) didn’t get quality performances from their openers Abhishek Porel and Jake Fraser-McGurk. Noting Imran’s effective batting numbers in Kerala’s T20 league, the 2020 runners-up may reserve his services for IPL 2026.

1. Krishna Prasad

Adani Trivandrum Royals’ captain Krishna Prasad ended KCL as the leading run-getter with 479 runs in 10 matches, at a stellar strike rate of 143.41. Besides DC, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) may also look to buy openers in the auction. CSK witnessed the flop show from Rachin Ravindra while Quinton de Kock also struggled to be among the runs for Kolkata in IPL 2025. After getting ineffective performances from both batters, these two franchises, along with Capitals, snap up Prasad in the auction.
